Rachel & Doll.jpg

Ever since I was young…

From a young age I have felt a strong calling to help people, specifically women and children. Little did I know, I would one day assist a midwife and fall in love with birth work. It has been my dream to one day become a midwife myself and serve in a rural area like Eastern Oregon.

Hey, I’m Rachel! Your friendly neighborhood birth worker.

I like spring hikes, raw milk, wildflowers, everyday life outside, sipping herbs, chickens, handmade art, my family, and reading ingredient labels on cereal boxes. Eclectic, I know! Our goal is to someday run a sustainable farm and raise sheep as a family. I have dreams of practicing herbal medicine, providing reproductive health care, and bringing a smile to our Creator’s face.

My heart is for women and families in under-resourced communities. I would love to one day see a normalization of, and adequate access to, quality home birth midwifery care. I am currently studying to become a Certified Professional Midwife through NARM’s PEP (Portfolio Evaluation Process) Program. While it is still very early in my journey, I am so thankful that this is where I have been called to be! In the meantime I am happy to serve our community as a trained birth and postpartum doula.

I am honored that my mission field is the birth pool, the postpartum bedroom, the labor and delivery unit, and the changing table. I am filled with joy at the blessing of hope that I experience each day serving you and your family!

I’M in this with you

No matter where you are, or what challenges you are facing, I’m here to support you. Regardless of age, religion, race, gender, sexuality, vaccination status, or family structure.

I would love to meet with you for a complimentary consultation!

*I honor and acknowledge that the term parent is all-encompassing— if you are placing your child for adoption or are choosing to use a surrogate, you are still a parent and you deserve support!
